PARK SLOPE— 16 Handles, a frozen yogurt chain, will open its Park Slope on Saturday between Carroll Street and Garfield Place.
The grand opening, at 148 Seventh Ave., will feature free frozen yogurt for the first 100 guests, followed by discounts throughout the weekend.
Everyone who visits by 5 p.m. will receive 50 percent off their treats. The shop will offer 25 percent off frozen yogurt throughout the weekend.
The shop will feature 16 rotating soft-serve flavors, more than 50 toppings and sauces, frozen yogurt cakes, take-home pints and edible cookie dough from DŌ.
The menu combines familiar options, including: classic vanilla, cookies and cream and original tart, with limited-edition flavors such as French fry, salted butter, strawberry kefir, butter beer and keto chocolate brownie.
The store will also offer ice cream, vegan soft serve, drinks and other snacks.
Lounge-style seating and late-night hours are part of the brand's approach to serving families, friends and people looking for a dessert stop after dinner.
Lifelong friends Eric Farber and Dylan Vas own the new shop.
The pair met in college and worked in finance and consulting before entering the frozen dessert business.
Their first 16 Handles location opened in Cobble Hill in July 2025.
The Park Slope shop marks the next step in their plans to expand across Brooklyn and Queens.
16 Handles opened its first shop in Manhattan's East Village in 2008.
The franchise has since grown to more than 67 locations either open or under development, according to the company.
