Throughout history, the most effective way to keep a man in a cage is to convince him that the door is locked from the outside. But the truth is more uncomfortable: many of us are holding the key and simply refuse to turn it. We choose a self-perpetrated ignorance because it’s easier than the "Energy Tax" required to actually think.

I grew up in the Bronx, and I know the narrative. You look around and see a void—a lack of mentors, a lack of role models who look like you or think like you. You’ve been told that reading "constructively useful content" is something other people do. You’ve been fed a delusional "true believer" narrative that says the world is just, and if you just play by the rules, you’ll win.

But I’m not a binary thinker, and I’m not here to sell you a lie. The "just world" is a fallacy. The struggle is real, and as Nietzsche eloquently articulated, the demise of the learned man happens when he stops questioning the shadows.

I don’t want your likes. I don’t need your follows or your validation. I learned a long time ago that every disappointment in life is birthed from a false expectation. I am not here for the "clout." I am putting a tray of food out on the buffet of life. If you’re hungry for something real, it’s here. If you’re not, keep walking.

I’ve spent thirty years as a coach, an author, and a podcast host on The Developmental Gap, but my strength doesn’t come from my titles. It comes from embracing how truly insignificant I am in the grand scheme of the universe. That realization didn't crush me—it liberated me.
