Skinny Louie Is Bringing Its Smash Burgers To Park Slope

PARK SLOPE— Skinny Louie will open its first Brooklyn location in Park Slope on Sept. 18, bringing its smash burgers, fries and milkshakes to Flatbush Avenue.

The restaurant will open at 6 p.m. at 218 Flatbush Ave.

The first 100 customers in line will receive a free Skinny Louie Cheeseburger on a first-come, first-served basis.

The Park Slope location marks the latest expansion for the Miami-born burger chain, which opened its first restaurant in Wynwood in 2023.

The company now operates five locations in New York City.

The chain opened in NoMad before adding a West Village location in March. The company has also announced plans for locations on the Upper East Side, in the East Village and near Penn Station.

Skinny Louie's menu centers on smash burgers made with Black Angus beef. The patties cook on a hot griddle, creating a browned, crisp edge.

The core menu includes the Skinny Louie Cheeseburger with grilled onions, American cheese, pickles and Louie Sauce; a Classic Burger; and an Applewood Bacon Burger.

Customers can also order fries, milkshakes and the chain's "Very Best Burger," a double smash burger with smoked gouda, truffle aioli and jalapeño relish.

Skinny Louie was founded by Gonzalo Rubino and Matias Palloni, two hospitality entrepreneurs who met while working in restaurants in Buenos Aires before building careers in Miami.

The restaurant will operate from 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. Sunday through Thursday and until 4 a.m. Friday and Saturday.
