Burglar Took Taxi After Park Slope Break-In: Police

PARK SLOPE, NY — A burglar hailed a taxi after he broke into a Park Slope apartment and snatched a television, police said.

The broad daylight Jan. 10 break-in remains under investigation, the NYPD said. A man suspected to be the burglar can be seen in surveillance footage from near President Street and Seventh Avenue.

It's there where the man broke open the front door to a 34-year-old man's apartment, police said. The burglar grabbed a television, about $300 cash and about $200 in jewelry, electronics and the victim's personal identification documents, according to police.

The burglar then left the apartment and hailed a taxi, police said. The taxi drove off toward Atlantic Avenue, they said.
