COOKBOOK TASTING: The Homesick Texan's Family Table

Pine no more - eat your fill of Texan food at the latest in our cookbook tasting series!

Melissa Vaughan prepares wonderful dishes using recipes from The Homesick Texan’s Family Table, the cookbook inspired by Lisa Fain’s blog. Fain will also be on-hand to sign books.

Lisa Fain is a seventh-generation Texan. When she’s not on the hunt for chile peppers, she writes and photographs the popular food blog Homesick Texan. Fain’s writing has appeared in Saveur and Edible Austin and on the blog Serious Eats, and her photographs have been exhibited worldwide.

Melissa Vaughan, co-author of The New Brooklyn Cookbook, is a recipe developer and tester whose work has appeared in magazines (Real Simple, Cookie, Saveur, Every Day with Rachael Ray) and cookbooks by Daniel Boulud, Michael White, and Melissa Clark. She is a graduate of the Institute of Culinary Education.
