Earthquake Shakes Brooklyn. Did You Feel it?

An earthquake hit Brooklyn early Tuesday afternoon.

"I felt the building swaying and I was tossed from one wall to the other," said one Park Slope landlord on President Street, who asked not be identified.

According to reports, a 5.8 magnitude quake hit Virginia and could be felt in New York and down through North Carolina.

The US Geological Survey's website shows where the earthquake orginated.
