Cassendre Xavier is an acoustic pop singer-songwriter-guitarist described as “a cross between Tracy Chapman, Sade & Enya” (Steven M. Wilson, Borders Music). Her 6th album "Live at Tin Angel" was honorably mentioned as the #9 of the “Top 21 Local EPs of 2007” (M.J. Fine, Philadelphia City Paper).
When not performing music, this "renaissance negresse" is also a publishing author, actress, fine artist, and the award-winning founder/director of Philadelphia's annual Black Women's Arts Festival (est. 2003).
