Join us as we unveil a new installation in our Sanctuary by renowned architects Babak Bryan and Henry Grosman. We will be presenting musical performances by Brooklyn’s finest ensembles, featuring the artwork of our ECC, Afterschool and Yachad children, and celebrating CBE’s participation in Partners in Preservation. The entire Brooklyn community is welcome!
The installation will be titled “Jacob’s Ladder,” after one of the sanctuary’s two stained glass windows; it will be both a work of art and a musical instrument, inviting collaboration from the community. The event will feature performances by a dozen of Brooklyn’s finest musical ensembles—including Brooklyn Community Chorus, Brooklyn Art Song Society, the Brooklyn Conservatory of Music’s Renee Manning Jazz Quintet, and the Brooklyn Jewish Community Chorus—in celebration of CBE’s role in creating community in Brooklyn. The open house will run from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 6.
