Leave It All Behind Tour: This Way / Seth Kessel & The Two Cent Jazz Band / Union Street Preservation Society

This Way is an alternative country band with members from across New England, but call Portland, Maine their home. With influences ranging from Waylon Jennings to The Beach Boys to Paul Simon, the band's sound is laced with thick vocal harmonies, acoustic guitar, fiddle, mandolin, foot stomping rhythm and down-home grit.
 
Union Street Preservation Society is the complete roots string band experience. Influenced by bluegrass pickers, country swingers, blues crooners and pre-war jazz, the group's runaway-train instrumentals and spirited vocal harmonies offer a taste of early phonographs served in tight arrangements of contemporary songs.
 
USPS shows are electric. Recent highlights include a series of co-bills with legendary American roots mandolinist Andy Statman, shows with nationally prominent acts Greensky Bluegrass, Cornmeal and Max Creek, performances at the CMJ Music Festival, regular appearances at New York City's most prominent venues, and benefits for many of New York's non-profit organizations.
 
Seth Kessel and the Two Cent Band is a musical project that focuses on new compositions and a shared love of early jazz and American roots music. With their old-time influence and songs over a hundred years old, this group is anything but a retro act. They put a freshness and unrestrained emotion into every song keeping the audience on their toes. In addition, the Two Cent Band has undeniable technical capabilities and the best two man horn section in the city. The group has quickly become a fan favorite of roots music aficionados in New York, with lively sets that feature everything from unique original works to jazz classics, stomping klezmer or fiddle tunes played on saxophone!
