The Eleventh National Black Writers Conference will host a post Conference Center for Black Literature Fundraiser with Tavis Smiley and Cornel West . Smiley and West will discuss their new book, The Rich and the Rest of Us: A Poverty Manifesto where they challenge us to re-examine our assumptions about poverty in America, what it really is and how to eliminate it now.
