Free Summer Camp Showcase Coming to Park Slope on Sunday, March 1

Park Slope families beginning their summer planning will have an opportunity to explore a wide range of programs at a free summer camp showcase taking place at Berkeley Carroll School on Sunday, March 1.

The event, scheduled from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the school’s Athletic Center on President Street, will bring together dozens of day camps and sleepaway camps serving children ages 3–17. Families can meet camp directors, ask questions, and compare programs in one location.

With many camps opening registration earlier each year, organizers say winter events give parents a helpful head start.

“Parents often tell us they appreciate being able to speak directly with camp directors and gather information in person,” said event organizer Abby Barber. “It saves time and makes the decision process less overwhelming.”

Programs represented will include traditional day camps, sports camps, arts programs, STEM-focused experiences, and overnight camps from both the New York area and beyond.

The indoor setting provides families with a convenient and weather-protected opportunity to explore summer options without traveling to multiple open houses. Organizers note that the event is designed to be relaxed and family-friendly, allowing parents and children to browse at their own pace.

Education experts frequently recommend beginning summer planning early, as many popular programs reach capacity by spring.
