Children sing,
dance and play instruments in classes that integrate melodies, harmonies and
rhythms designed to build a strong musical foundation and advance future
learning. Musical themes vary by 10-week
session and are based on cultural sounds heard in the city (salsa, reggae, folk
songs, blues). Songs about familiar
sights and sounds (subways, taxis, Coney Island) figure in as well. CD included.
