One of NYC's most unique classes! Percussion fundamentals taught in a fun and relaxed setting designed to nurture the growing musical mind. Equipped with their own hand drum (provided) kids learn a new rhythmic concept or rudiment each week, interspersed with movement, dancing and drum improvisation.
Each 10 week term concentrates on a style of drumming particular to a
culture (African, Latin, etc.). Instructor Ethan Meyer is an accomplished drummer in African, Latin, jazz and rock styles with extensive early childhood teaching experience. Ages 4 to 7. Drop-off.
