Identity Thief Tries To Spend Hundreds At Park Slope Footlocker

Police are asking the public's help for the man who tried to use a 39-year-old woman's credit card.

PARK SLOPE, BROOKLYN — Police are asking for the public's help to find a man that tried to buy hundreds of dollars worth of shoes with another person's credit card.

The suspect went into a Footlocker on 5th Avenue around 11:45 a.m. Wednesday and tried to buy $365 worth of sneakers with a credit card that belonged to a. 39-year-old woman, police said. When the credit card was declined, the man fled the store without the sneakers.

He is wanted for grand larceny.

Police described the suspect as a black man last seen wearing a black knit hat, yellow doo-rag, light color denim jacket with a patch on the right shoulder, blue jeans, a black hooded shirt with a logo and tan boots.
