This group is for parents seeking insight into providing playful and creative activities for their children. While many children with IEP’s or extra educational services benefit from practice on isolated skills and supported instruction, playful and creative activities provide opportunities to integrate skills, motivation to develop new skills, develops relating skills, and confidence in their own initiative. Many children whose unique way of understanding their environment can blossom into a method of learning and understanding, even if they hate a crafts class. We can consider your child’s strengths and particular interests and develop ideas to use at home to support playful interactions. We’ll also have some time to experiment with the arts as well.
