NEW YORK, NY — Cops are searching for a man who robbed two 7-Elevens — one in Manhattan, one in Brooklyn — within a matter of hours last week.

The man first went into a 7-Eleven on York Avenue near the Upper East Side around 11 p.m. on Wednesday, June 24, police said. He took out a handgun and demanded a 56-year-old employee hand over money, and left with $500 and 20 cartons of cigarettes, police said.

The thief then hopped on a Q train at the 86th Street station.
