Man Sexually Assaults Teenager In Park Slope Park, Police Say

The 17-year-old girl was assaulted Thursday morning in a park she could not name, said an NYPD spokeswoman.

PARK SLOPE, BROOKLYN — Police are hunting for the man who sexually assaulted a teenage girl in a neighborhood park.

The 17-year-old girl was attacked around 1 a.m. Thursday morning in a Park Slope park that she could not later identify to police, according to an NYPD spokeswoman.

The suspect ran away after he sexually assaulted the girl, who was rushed to an area hospital in stable condition, police said.

The attack took place within the confines of the 78th precinct, with green spaces that include Prospect Park, Grand Army Plaza, Washington Park on Fourth Street and Fourth Avenue, the Ennis Playground on 12th Street near Second Avenue, and the Park Slope Playground on Berkeley Place near Sixth Avenue.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police.
