Man Shot In The Head In Park Slope: Cops

A 58-year-old is in critical condition after police found him with a gunshot wound to his head near Fourth Avenue on Sunday, police said.

PARK SLOPE, BROOKLYN — A man is in critical condition after he was shot in the head in Park Slope early Sunday morning, police said.

Cops found the 58-year-old man with a gunshot wound to his head near Fourth Avenue and Pacific Street around 3:30 a.m., police said.

He was taken to Brooklyn Methodist Hospital in critical condition.

The shooting — on the border of Boerum Hill and Park Slope — is one of only a few in Park Slope this year, an anomaly as the rest of the borough faces a dramatic increase in gun violence.

Other shootings in Park Slope include a drive-by in August where a cyclist was hit, still-unsolved fatal road rage shooting from March and a shooting in late July also near Fourth Avenue, according to NYPD data.

As of Monday there were no arrests in the Sunday shooting.
