Park Slope Finally Gets Its Accessible Subway Station
Stations in Park Slope, Bed-Stuy and elsewhere in Brooklyn will become fully ADA-compliant later this year, the MTA announced.

BROOKLYN, NEW YORK â Part of a $54.8 billion subway improvement plan will bring full accessibility to six Brooklyn stations, including a Park Slope station advocates where advocates have long sought improvements, the MTA announced.
Park Slope's Seventh Avenue F and G line station is on a project list released Thursday.
Senior citizens, wheelchair users and local politicians previously pressed for an elevator at the station.

It looks like their advocacy paid off â MTA officials plan to begin work on the Seventh Avenue station in this year's third quarter, a release stated.
That means adding elevators, ramps and other measures to bring the stations in full compliance with the Americans With Disabilities Act.

The Brooklyn stations, subway line and neighborhoods are:
- Seventh Avenue, G, Park Slope
- Eighth Avenue (southbound), N, Sunset Park
- Avenue H (northbound), Q, Flatbush
- Classon Avenue, G, Bed-Stuy and Clinton Hill
- Grand Street, L, Williamsburg
- Lorimer Street, L, Williamsburg and Metropolitan Avenue, G, Williamsburg
The projects are part of MTA's wider $54.8 billion 2020-2024 Capital Program. A full list of projects across the city can be read here.
