Package Pirate Sprints Off With Park Slope Parcel: Video

PARK SLOPE, BROOKLYN — A mad dasher performed a speedy package snatch from a UPS driver trying to make a delivery in Park Slope, police said.

The grab-and-dash on Jan. 31 was captured by surveillance video, which shows a man hovering behind the deliveryman. The man told the driver he lived in the home near Seventh Avenue and First Street, police said.

The driver asked the man to show identification and looked toward the door, police said. That's when the man grabbed the package and ran off down the street.

The UPS driver wasn't hurt in the theft.

What was in the package? Authorities would only say its content and value is "still undetermined at this time."
