Thieves Swipe $450 of Clothes From Pile Of Mail In South Slope
The three suspects were found cutting open packages in the lobby of a Sixth Avenue apartment building, police said.

SOUTH SLOPE, BROOKLYN â A group of thieves found rustling through a pile of mail in a South Slope apartment building managed to get away with hundreds of dollars worth of clothes, police said.
The three men were caught by a 32-year-old employee around 3:10 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 7 in the lobby of 585 Sixth Ave., police said. The employee tried to stop the thieves, who had been cutting open and taking things from a pile of packages, but they ran out the front door before he could stop them, video shows.
The thieves got away with clothing worth $450 total, police said.
