Traffic Cop Gets Punched Writing Ticket In Brooklyn, Police Say
This Maryland driver sent an NYPD traffic agent to the hospital after the cop wrote him a ticket on Park Slope's Fifth Ave., cops say.

PARK SLOPE, BROOKLYN — A traffic agent landed in the hospital last month after an angry driver punched him in the face to avoid getting a parking ticket, police said.
The NYPD traffic agent was writing out a parking ticket for the man's red Jeep Wrangler in front of 555 Fifth Ave. around 12:30 p.m. on Oct. 22 when the driver came up and started yelling at the cop, police said. The driver pushed the agent and punched him in the face before getting into his Jeep and driving away, police said.
The traffic agent was sent to New York University Langone hospital for the pain and swelling caused by the punch and was in stable condition, police said.

The driver had a Maryland license plate that read 7AX0320 and is described as being between 30 and 40 years old, standing 5' 9" tall and weighing 200 lbs., with a bald head. He was last seen wearing all dark clothing.
Police were able to get a video of the man walking on surveillance camera before the incident.
