Union Hall Closed After Friday Night Fire

No injuries were reported, however the venue suffered damage due to the blaze.

PARK SLOPE, NY — The popular Brooklyn restaurant and venue Union Hall is closed indefinitely after a fire broke out at the joint late Friday night.

In a statement posted to Twitter, Union Hall said no one was injured in the fire but there was damage, which was being assessed.

"In the short term we will be closed," the statement said. "We hope to reopen as quickly as possible."

An FDNY spokesperson told Patch they received a call about the fire at 11:50 p.m. and were on scene in three minutes. A total of 60 firefighters brought the fire under control by 12:36 a.m.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
