Video: Man Slammed To The Ground In Park Slope Subway Attack

PARK SLOPE, BROOKLYN — Police have released surveillance video of a brutal subway attack that took place on a Brooklyn R train last month.

The attack happened as the R train was stopped at Union Street station around 9 a.m. on Saturday, July 25, according to police.

The victim, a 30-year-old man, was standing on one side of the train car when the attacker walked across the car toward him, pointing in his direction, according to police and video.

When he reaches the man, the suspect slams the 30-year-old to the ground as onlookers frantically get off the train. The attacker then punches and kicks the man as he lies on the ground, video shows.

The 30-year-old — who hit his head on one of the seats when he was slammed down — was able to get off the train and ask for help from a station agent once his attacker left the station, police said.

Hewas taken to the hospital with broken ribs, a cracked tooth and swelling to his face, police said.
