Woman Found Dead In Prospect Park, Cops Say

PROSPECT PARK, BROOKLYN — Police are investigating the death of a woman who was found in Prospect Park on Thursday.

The woman, whose identity was not revealed, was found unconscious and unresponsive in the park on the Ocean Avenue side near the LeFrak Center, according to police

She had no obvious signs of trauma, but was pronounced dead by emergency responders at the scene, police said.

The Medical Examiner will determine the cause of death, police said.

The death is not the first time police have discovered a body in Brooklyn's backyard this year. A man was also found dead in the park in April.
