2 Hurt in E. Patchogue Crash Between Motorcycle, Car

A 20-year-old man was seriously injured when his motorcycle collided with a car in East Patchogue Thursday afternoon.
According to police, the motorcyclist was riding a 2015 Yamaha north on County Road 101 around 3:40 p.m. when his motorcycle collided with a 2000 Honda that was traveling south on County Road 101 and attempting to turn left onto Harrison Avenue.
The motorcyclist, who police did not name, was airlifted by a Suffolk County Police helicopter to Stony Brook University Hospital for treatment of serious injuries.

The driver of the Honda, 22-year-old Carolina Carrion-Maura, of Patchogue, was transported to Brookhaven Memorial Hospital Medical Center in East Patchogue for treatment of minor injuries, police said.
The vehicles have been impounded for safety checks and the investigation is continuing. Detectives are asking anyone with information on the crash to contact the Fifth Squad at 631-854-8552.
