21st Anniversary Of 9/11 To Be Marked By Local Community On Sunday
From Mastic to Ronkonkoma the community will honor those who perished in the World Trade Center terror attacks in 2001.
BROOKHAVEN TOWN, NY — Members of the Brookhaven Town community will honor local people and first responders who died in the Sept. 11, 2001 on Sunday, the 21st anniversary of the terror attacks.
Here's a list of events you can attend:
- Bellport: The Village of Bellport, the fire department, and South Country Ambulance will hold a ceremony at 7 p.m. at Bellport Dock.
- Patchogue: The village will host a ceremony at 9/11 Memorial Park on Maiden Lane at the end of Cedar Avenue at 9 a.m.
- Mastic: The Mastic Fire Department will hold a ceremony outside its headquarters on Mastic Road at 9 a.m.
- Ronkonkoma: The Lakeland Fire District will host a ceremony in its Garden of Heroes on Sunday at 7 p.m.
