Aid Auto Stores Closing Down
Long Island auto parts chain going out of business, closing locations in Patchogue and Medford.

Aid Auto Stores, in business on Long Island since 1966, will be closing its final five locations in Eastern Suffolk, including its stores in Patchogue and Medford.
According to a report in Newsday (subscription required), there is no set timetable for the closing of the stores. Aid Auto president Anthony Pirrera told Newsday that all 80 employees can expect to be paid through August.
All Aid Auto stores will be offering 10 percent to 30 percent discounts on its products until closing. Aside from the two local stores, the company's other three remaining locations are in Riverhead, Shirley and Rocky Point.
