• Sources: 1 person shot boarding LIRR train in Bellport, MTA police still searching for suspects (newsbreak.com) — Train service through Patchogue was disrupted Friday morning after a man was shot while boarding an LIRR train in Bellport, with the victim treated and released from NYU Langone Hospital–Suffolk in Patchogue. Service on the Montauk Branch between Speonk and Patchogue was initially suspended, then restored with delays, while MTA police continue searching for the shooter and companions.
