Here's the calendar dates, vacations, and holidays for the Patchogue-Medford School District.

PATCHOGUE, NY — We're unfortunately more than half way through summer and the Patchogue-Medford Union Free School District is back in session Sept. 5. The good news is there are only 16 school days until the first day off.
Here's the school calendar, including important dates, national holidays, parent-teacher conferences and more for the 2019-20 school year.

- Sept. 3-4: Superintendent's Conference Days (No school for students, staff reports.)
- Sept. 5: First day for students
- Sept. 30: Rosh Hashanah (No school)
- Oct. 1: Rosh Hashanah (No school)
- Oct. 9: Yom Kippur (No school)
- Oct. 14: Columbus Day (No school)
- Nov. 5: Superintendent's Conference Day (No school for students, staff reports)
- Nov. 11: Veterans' Day (No school)
- Nov. 27-29: Thanksgiving Recess (No school)
- Dec. 9: Parent teacher conferences (Half day for elementary students, full day for secondary students)
- Dec. 10: Parent teacher conferences for high school (No school for all students)
- Dec. 23-Jan. 1: Holiday recess (No school)
- Jan. 20: Martin Luther King Jr. Day (No school)
- Feb. 17-21: Winter recess (No school)
- April 6-13: Spring recess (No school)
- May 25: Memorial Day (No school)
- June 26: Last day of school
Snow Day/Weather Emergencies:
- If one or fewer days is lost due to weather or other emergencies, no school May 21 and May 26.
- If two days are lost due to weather or other emergencies, school is open May 21 and closed May 26.
- If three days are lost due to weather or other emergencies, school is open May 21 and May 26.
- If four or more days are lost due to weather or other emergencies, school will be open April 6 and moving up.
