Behavioral Health IPA "Advanced Health Network" Names Robert Detor New CEO

Called "the perfect professional to help lead AHN through New York State's health system transformation."

The non-profit corporate owners of Advanced Health Network are pleased to announce the hiring of Robert Detor as the new Chief Executive Officer of its Independent Practitioners Association (IPA).

Advanced Health Network Independent Practice Association (AHN IPA) is a network of eight founding Agencies and 13 Network Providers of behavioral health and substance abuse services in Nassau and Suffolk Counties and parts of Queens. The owners are currently pursuing capitalization to further build the IPA’s capacity to manage and execute contracts that meet high standards of clinical quality and simultaneously allow for the use of data analytics to inform the development of service lines with strategic partners that improve the lives of people with long-standing or recent-onset behavioral health challenges.

Mr. Detor comes to AHN after a long career in the private and public sector, most recently as CEO of South Oaks Hospital/Broadlawn Manor in Amityville from 2000 to 2015. Mr. Detor facilitated the transition of the hospital to the Northwell Health System. He also engineered the sale of several campus properties and Broadlawn Manor, a 320-bed skilled nursing facility with multiple lines of residential and outpatient care that allowed the entity to stabilize its finances and become a key partner in regional, integrated health strategies.
