Bellone Welcomes Alliance of Chambers
Access to capital, state of downtowns among topics for business organization
Members of the Suffolk County Alliance of Chambers gathered Friday to discuss common issues, including the state of downtowns, county support for business, and state programs to assist commerce.
Suffolk County Executive Steve Bellone, Lt. Gov. Kathy Hochul, State Sen. Tom Croci, State Senate Majority Leader John Flanagan and other officials were on hand to address the issues and answer questions from the business leaders. Workforce housing, downtown revitalization, Jumpstart funding, cultural arts, and the Industrial Development agency process were among topics. The County Executive noted recent developments on infrastructure and in particular, the needs to expand sewer services.
