Bellport HS Boys JV Lax Season Canceled After 'Allegations': South Country School District

BELLPORT, NY — The Bellport High School Junior Varsity boys' lacrosse season has been canceled for the remainder of the school year after allegations about an incident involving the team surfaced, South Country Central School District Superintendent Antonio Santana said.

In a statement released Thursday, Santana said,"The district is taking this matter extremely seriously and does not and will not condone any behaviors that are not consistent with our code of conduct. The district is conducting an ongoing investigation and we will have no further comment at this time."
