Children Book Review: Where the Wild Things Are

Children Book Review :: Where the Wild Things Are By Maurice Sendak

"Let the wild rumpus start,"A favorite story in our home. I recommend this to everyone!

(check out a glance of President Obama reading the story below)

When we are reading this book we love to "Let the wild rumpus start," My little guy loves it and I think it became part of our bedtime routine for months. I knew we were reading it a lot when my two year old started to finish the last line of the book "...and it was still HOT."

I am looking for the day when he dresses in his wolf suit and "...Sails in and out of days...." into the land of imaginary friends and places.

Another favorite part of the book for us at our house "...roared their terrible roars and gnashed their terrible teeth and rolled their terrible eyes and showed their terrible claws.." I really should take a picture of us or maybe a little video of him acting this part of the book.

Grandma Rosie presented this book to Lil Man for his first birthday.I have to say a new binding is due soon. I might have to put this one aside and purchase a new one.
