Long Island Medium, Cindi Sansone-Braff: What I've Learned from Talking with the Dead

Communing with those who have crossed over

As a medium, I have learned a great deal from talking to the dead.  Mainly, they are anxious to tell us that they love us.  Sometimes, they need to ask for forgiveness.  They also wish to teach us about the afterlife, and to reassure us that love never dies.

There are times that delivering these messages is the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do.  When people have died unexpectedly, they may have a lot of regrets that they didn’t take care of things — maybe they had no life insurance, no will, or perhaps the paperwork of their lives wasn’t in order, and because of this, the living go through hell as they have to try and clean up the mess.

Those who have crossed over often tell the living, to stop making a saint out of them.  They like to be remembered truthfully — the good, the bad, and the ugly of them.  They don’t like it when we keep their things and their rooms just as they were, creating a shrine to them.  They like to have their things given away to those who will use and enjoy them.  You can’t take it with you, but if those you love are enjoying your boat, car, or jewelry, or whatever items, the dead get to see us, and they take pleasure in our happiness.

If those who have crossed over have left us money, and that money allows us to take a vacation or buy a home or just take it a little easier, cosmic love and smiles abound from the dearly departed.

They like when we get their signs of love and they send these signs all the time.  When we hear a song they loved or spot a license plate with their name on it just at the moment when we were thinking of them, they know we hear them.  They like us to know that death ends a life, but not a relationship.

Our deceased loved ones want us to be happy.  When we mourn, they are sad.  When we are at peace, they are at peace.

Learning never stops.  In spirit, they are learning and growing, and they wish to share this knowledge with us.
