Nutrition advise for a more healthy you
Some basic nutrition advise from local Chiropractor, Dr Joseph Merckling.

There is no better way to rejuvenate your health than by eating more nutritiously. In fact, even a few simple changes in your diet and lifestyle can have a positive impact on your health-and can also prevent a variety of health problems in the future. If you have symptoms such as headaches, muscle/joint pain, fatigue, diabetes or heart problems, professional advice from a health care provider who specializes in nutrition can help to minimize these conditions.
The traditional coffee and doughnuts for breakfast; a hamburger for lunch-or no lunch; candy, cookies, and a soft drink for a snack; followed by a huge dinner with more protein than a person needs-are unhealthy dietary choices. Most families with their busy lives do not sit down and plan proper complete balanced meals. As a result, younger people are starting to suffer from a variety of problems related directly to their nutritional deficiencies. This is not only because of poor diet, but also because of an epidemic of inactivity.
To reverse the alarming trend, Dr Merckling has been urging his patients to stop smoking, eat a balanced diet, drink plenty of water, exercise regularly, and augment their balanced diet with appropriate nutritional supplements. Our office carries a complete line of Professional nutritional supplements, by Physiologics .
Nutritional supplements do not substitute for real whole foods in the diet, nor can you maintain good health just by taking vitamin supplements. When taken properly for the right reasons at the right time they can play an important role in achieving optimum health. Dr Merckling advises even though most nutritional supplements are over the counter, not to “self prescribe”. It is best to let your doctor help you select what vitamins and/or supplements are needed for your body. Dr Merckling will frequently refer his patients for blood/lab work to determine if nutritional deficiencies are present and make the proper recommendations based on the results.
