Detectives Investigating Locker Room Incident At Bellport HS: Police
Suffolk police said the South Country School District alerted them on April 28.

BELLPORT, NY — Fifth Squad detectives are investigating an incident involving students that took place in a locker room at Bellport High School, Suffolk police said Thursday.
The school contacted police on April 28, according to police.
Police would not disclose what students were involved in the incident.

A police spokeswoman said further details would not be released.
News of the investigation comes after schools South Country schools Superintendent Antonio Santana announced the Bellport High School Junior Varsity boys' lacrosse season was canceled for the remainder of the school year after allegations about an incident involving the team surfaced.

In a statement released Thursday, Santana said,"The district is taking this matter extremely seriously and does not and will not condone any behaviors that are not consistent with our code of conduct. The district is conducting an ongoing investigation and we will have no further comment at this time.
News 12 reported receiving multiple phone calls from concerned parents.
It is not clear if the two incidents are related.
