Lead by Singer, Guitarist & Writer Josh Horton, BIG SUGA is delivering original music in the sea of Long Island Tribute and Cover bands and turning the tide of the Long Island live music scene. BIG SUGA is a hard driving, high octane act with a big - straight ahead Rock 'N Roll sound. Their branded sound of Rock 'N Funk 'N Roll is laced with tasty hints of country, funk and honky-tonk flair.
Special guest, Patchogue's own Jesse Pagano is known for his work with KarmaSutra. He has just released his first solo album and brings a rare acoustic performance of some new original material and old favorites.
Now in it's sixth season, Live in the Lobby takes place usually on the First Thursday of the month at the Patchogue Theatre. The series was started during the 2005-2006 Patchogue Theatre season by a group of volunteer music lovers who created a "venue within a venue" as an alternative performance space to the 1200 seat PTPA main stage that is Suffolk County's largest theater. Every month the volunteers convert the beautiful art deco lobby into a small concert hall with seating for 50 and standing room for another 50. The room is comfortable, the acoustics are great refreshments are served at the bar. Live in the Lobby has become recognized as one of the best venues for original music on Long Island, presenting a wide variety of music from genres such as rock, folk, funk, jazz, bluegrass, Latin, blues, Celtic and R&B, with the emphasis on original music by Long Island artists.
