First Countywide Farmers Market

Please join us to celebrate Grown on Long Island Day, a countywide farmersmarket at the Suffolk County Farm in Yaphank on Friday, August 5 from noon to 5p.m.
The event is free and will include food and wine tastings, roasted corn, producefrom farmers throughout Suffolk, and a food drive for Island Harvest. Explore the century-old Suffolk Farm and Education Center—visit our animals and learn about historical and modern agriculture!
This is the first countywide farmers market in Suffolk County--the leading agricultural county in New York State in terms of the value of crops grown.
The first 500 visitors to donate $10 worth of produce will receive a free Grown on Long Island T-shirt. Bring the whole family for a day for fun! (Please note that dogs are not allowed due to our many farm animals).
The event is sponsored by The Long island Farm Bureau, Cornell CooperativeExtension of Suffolk County, Suffolk County, Farm Family, J. Kings, Harbor ViewFoods, Long Island Radio Group, Long Island Wine Country, Peconic Land Trust,and Farm Credit East.
The Suffolk County Farm and Education Center is located at 350 Yaphank Ave.,
