KERRY KEARNEY & FRIENDS: Old, New, Appalachian and Blue

One of Long Island's best known and best loved musicians brings a very special one time performance, "Old, New, Appalachian and Blue"  to the Live in the Lobby series at the Patchogue Theatre for the Performing Arts (PTPA). "This is not your usual Kerry Kearney performance that you'd see at a local bar or festival, " said Live in the lobby Curator Christopher Capobianco, "This is a sit down concert that will be an intimate look at an amazing musician and some of the other musicians he has worked with."

The Old are his own original songs, presented for the first time at the popular Live in the Lobby series. The New is indie rockers Still Saffire - a teenage quartet of two sets of sisters from Nyack who worked with Kearney on their recent five song EP. The Appalachian is Kearney and Maria Fairchild playing music from their new CD "Appalachian Diaries, " which features Ms. Fairchild's talents on "claw-hammer" banjo and vocals, and the Blue is Kearney's original blues and versatile slide guitar work that has earned him a loyal following on Long Island and beyond for two decades.
