Under the direction of CoDanceCo's Teaching Artist Cheryl Wheeler, Medford Elementary's 5th graders have been participating in Dancing Classrooms: Teaching Children to Take a Bow, a ten-week, twenty lesson model arts-in-education program. In celebration of the students' accomplishments during the residency, Medford Elementary's "Stepping Out" will feature the entire fifth-grade performing six ballroom dances, reading essays and poetry, and audience participation.
