Patchogue Fire Breaks Out At Abandoned Main Street Building
The blaze occurred at the abandoned building on Patchogue's Main Street Tuesday morning.
PATCHOGUE, NY — A fire broke out at an abandoned building in Patchogue early Tuesday, according to Suffolk police. The blaze was reported on West Main Street at 4:20 a.m.
No injuries were reported. Firefighters from the Patchogue, North Patchogue and Blue Point fire departments responded to put out the fire, which damaged three commercial garage bays and caused a partial collapse, Newsday reports.
Suffolk County police Arson Section detectives are investigating the incident. The cause of the fire is still unknown.
