Runners Prep for Oct. 30 Suffolk County Marathon

About 150 runners came out for the first training run for the Catholic Health Services Second Annual Suffolk Marathon, Half Marathon and 5k on Oct. 30.

Last year, the marathon raised nearly $160,000 for veterans services here in Suffolk County and drew nearly 3,500 runners and thousands of spectators and volunteers.

The Suffolk marathon is one of eight races making up the Suffolk County Veteran Run Series, which kicks off May 28 in Northport.
