Pat-Med was in its week 1 game, trailing only 10-6 in the second quarter. Lindenhurst found itself down 41-0 at the half and surrendered 285 yards and five touchdowns to Floyd running back Stacey Bedell.

What to watch for: Pat-Med got itself in trouble early in its game with West Islip because of poor special teams. A short punt and a big return allowed put the Raiders defense against the wall on each of its first two possessions. A bright spot for Pat-Med was running back Joe Altrui. Altrui rushed for over 400 yards as a junior and provide the Raiders with its only score of the day with a 50-yard touchdown scamper.

For Lindenhurst, building on its second half offensive performance is a must. Although the game was over at halftime, the Bulldogs still put together some promising drives in the final 24 minutes. Ken Skon was 8-of-11 for 76 yards in the air, rushed for 56 yards and caught two passes for another 49 yards.
