Hannah Martin, Brad Underwood Honored with Suffolk Zone Awards

In order to receive this honor students must maintain a 90 percent in PE and a 3.0 GPA.

From Patchogue Schools: Patchogue-Medford seniors Hannah Martin and Brad Underwood were recently honored as the school district’s 2017 Suffolk County Zone Student Award winners.

This is an honor presented by the New York State Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance.

In order to be considered for this honor, students must maintain an “A” average or 90 percent average in high school physical education classes, maintain an overall grade point average of 3.0 or higher at the completion of his or her junior year, contribute to the overall positive tone of the physical education class as well as the school, be a leader in class activities and demonstrate the ability to accept responsibility for regular class tasks.

Additionally, these students are leaders in school wide activities both on and off the field, and are role models in physical education classes by achieving a high level of physical fitness as determined by individual accomplishments recognized by the district.
