ICYMI: Patchogue Man Sentenced To Prison For Attempted Robbery

CENTER MORICHES, NY - A Patchogue man was sentenced to 16 years to life in prison on Friday for attempting to rob a 7-Eleven in Center Moriches last year, according to Suffolk County District Attorney Timothy D. Sini.

Joseph Allgood, 50, was convicted by a jury in June of two counts of second degree attempted robbery, the DA said. Due to his criminal history, he was deemed a mandatory persistent violent felony offender by the court and was sentenced by Suffolk County Court Judge Philip Goglas.

On October 31, 2018, Allgood entered the 7-Eleven on 632 Main Street, lunged at the clerk and demanded money from the register, the DA said.
