Investigators Seeking Truck Driver In Suffolk Hit-And-Run: Police
A commercial truck struck four poles in the busy village center and the driver kept on going, Suffolk police said.

PATCHOGUE, NY — Suffolk police are searching for the commercial truck driver involved in a hit-and-run crash that took down four utility poles in Patchogue on Tuesday, leaving many businesses out of power for about a day.
The truck crashed into poles on Terry Street at around noon on Monday and did not stop, leaving an estimated 20 businesses on south Main Street without power, Mayor Paul Pontieri said, adding that it is believed to be a food service truck one because one of the surveillance cameras in the area picked it up in the parking lot at that time.
Terry Street is a side street that runs parallel to the village's bustling Main Street and leads to two large municipal parking lots that workers and shoppers use.
