It's a Dog's World: Who's the Boss Anyway?

Imagine what your dog is thinking:  Boy, Oh, Boy!  People think their smarter than any other mammal, including us.

But from a dog's point of view, we've got it all over you people.  We get to stay home all day, chilling out, and enjoying all the comforts of your home, while you go off and bust your butts to bring home the bacon.

Dogs, we live in the now, no worries about tomorrow, and no regretting yesterday.  We know how to meet and greet those we love, and we don't judge them, not by their looks and not by how much they have or don't have, because they always share what they've got with us, and that makes us happy.

Oh, dogs are nobody’s fools.  We don't usually bite the hand that feeds, but we will if we have to.  We stand up for ourselves when push comes to shove, and sorry, but you scratch my back and I'll scratch yours, just ain't happening between us -- heavy petting is a one way street with you doing the hard work.

We know to rest when we need to, sleep when we feel like it, run and play for fitness, and we never abuse drugs or alcohol, because life gives us a natural high.

And another thing: by not talking and being the strong silent-type, we avoid the foot in mouth syndrome so common to humans, but never-the-less we have our ways of letting you know what we need, when we need it.  We let humans think they’ve got us on a tight rope; meanwhile, we’ve been pulling the strings all along.

OK, so maybe in Darwin's world we're the underdog, but in the real world -- we've got it made in the shade.
