E. Patchogue/Hauppauge Apt. Complex Owner Settles Housing Discrimination Complaint: Report
Renaissance Management Group and LI Housing Services' agreement comes after complaints of discrimination involving Section 8, LIBN reported.

EAST PATCHOGUE, NY — A New Jersey-based property management company with apartment complexes in East Patchogue and Hauppauge has agreed to settle a complaint of housing discrimination, Long Island Business News reported.
The agreement between Renaissance Management Group and Long Island Housing Services in Bohemia, comes after allegations that the landlord was discriminating against prospective tenants who use Section 8 housing vouchers to pay for rent, LIHS told the outlet in a statement.
After discussions between the two, Renaissance Management agreed to comprehensive training for its leasing agents and reviewing and reaffirming policies concerning income discrimination, according to LIBN. The company also agreed to putting into place changes to its website and application materials; and displaying discrimination prevention posters at the complexes, the outlet reported.

The company owns the 915-unit Renaissance Bay rental community in East Patchogue and the 656-unit Renaissance Hills complex in Hauppauge, according to the outlet.
