NORTH BELLPORT, NY — A man was robbed at gunpoint and assaulted in North Bellport last weekend, according to Suffolk Police. The incident was reported on Sunday, Feb. 16 at 5 p.m. on Meade Street. The man told police that someone approached him, displayed a handgun, and stole cash. The man was also assaulted by the robber before he fled. Following the incident, he was treated at Long Island Community Hospital in East Patchogue. No description of the robber was available. No arrests have been made.
